InterX provides a unique type of neurostimulation that is very different to other forms of electrical impulses such as TENS and interferential. It assists the body’s own processes for pain management and rehabilitation and can be used as an adjunct in treatment with many patients across a broad range of conditions. How it works:
The body’s tissue and skin responds differently to areas of underlying pain and the InterX is able to “read” these changes and can immediately adapt to apply the optimal level of stimulation.

In technical terms, areas of injury or pain trigger greater sympathetic nerve activity which causes an increased Galvanic response on the skin. InterX is able to identify these areas of low impedance and apply an impedance sensitive waveform stimulation.

Once the treatment locations are identified, InterX issues a very targeted, high density stimulation to specific nerve endings that are affected by trauma, pain or injury. This ability to deliver a variable treatment to tissue that has been neurologically disrupted by injury overcomes the body’s natural tendency to accommodate to the stimulation that often occurs with TENS.
