Fees
Since July 2004 the new government Medicare initiatives provide rebates for visits to Accredited Practising Dietitians treating chronic health conditions under a care plan coordinated by a GP.
Visits to private practising Accredited Practising Dietitians are also covered by most private health funds.

Accredited Practising Dietitians work with GPs to advise patients on the specific nutritonal management of chronic health conditions. They can also work with GP practices on health promotion and education activities for patients and continuing professional development sessions for GPs.
